AUBREY MILES is Aubrey Sandel in real life. She was born on March 16, 1982 to Victorino Sandel and Maria Perla Santos. Aubrey was the third among the four children of the Sandel family.
After finishing her secondary education at La Consolacion Academy in Caloocan City, Aubrey enrolled at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music where she majored in voice and minor in piano. She however did not finished her college education due to the call of showbiz.
During her early life, Aubrey Miles joined beauty contests for a living. She attended Miss Ever Gotesco, Miss Caloocan, Miss Lions Club and miss Global Philippines. Aubrey and her sister both joined those contests and her sister won the first runner up award in the last pageant and she won the fourth runner up award. Although she did not win major awards in the beauty contests she participated, it provided her a steady income and at the same time exposure that would prepare her later in her showbiz career.
Aubrey Miles was discovered by movie producer Dondon Monteverde during her sophomore days in college. She was signed for an eight film two year contract with Regal Entertainment.
Her first movie was "Prosti" where she played the role of a provincial prostitute. The movie was a big hit in the box office given that Aubrey was a new face in the bold industry and many were eager to see new faces. The success of her first movie led to another movies and product endorsements. Aubrey was signed by Bench, a popular clothing company in the Philippines.
Due to the success of Prosti, Aubrey Miles starred in "Xerex" as her follow up movie. The said movie featured Aubrey in three different bold roles based on the popular tabloid sex advice column. The movie was given a budget of 24 million but is only grossed around 18 million in the box office and video sales.
Her next movie was "Sanib" where she played a character possessed by demons. It was a highly budgeted movie to a whooping 25 million pesos but it only grossed 8.2 million in all sales.
When her movies were in all record low when it comes to sales, Aubrey joined the mainstream and signed by ABS-CBN. She appeared as co-host of noontime show Masayang Tanghali Bayan and so with other ABS-CBN sitcom. She also starred in wholesome movies such as "A Beautiful Life" and "Gagamboy" where she was partnered with Vhong Navarro and the movie was an official entry to the 2003 Metro Manila Film Festival.
After her stint with movies and TV, Aubrey Miles also tried modelling and she landed in the pages of FHM Philippines. Aubrey graced the cover of FHM Philippines in the span of 2002 to 2004. With sky rocketing sales of the magazine with her pictures in its pages, FHM selected Aubrey Miles to be the cover girl for its gold-paint cover in the magazine's 75th issue. Aubrey was also one of the three FHM calendar Girls for 2003 alongside Diana Zubiri and Maui Taylor.
Aubrey also teamed up with her real-life best friend Jacqueline Yu for the "The Amazing Race Asia 1" where they finished 9th place among the ten teams. To resurrect her career, Aubrey Miles joined "Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown" under GMA-7.
